Figures from SPiRiTED AWAY (miRroRing Me)

Finally I've begun to experience the animated movie-world of Hayao Miyazaki. "My Friend Totoro" I've seen before, but now naturally I began to realize Miyazaki's real mastership, becoming captured by "Spirited Away", his main epos! Among the animation-directors I know only Paul Grimault comes close to this wonderousness, visual feeling and deep senses.

Here's a list of seven characters whose psychology, beyond their immediate appearance, I probably would see if I looked myself deep in the mirror:

7. Kamaji
kind but spider-like (though only six long arms) professor,
busy by his thousand boxes and the machine,
into which his many insects are expected to put diamonds all day,
at least until the young girl turns up...

8. the Sumo-Walrus-like creature
following little Chihiro through some corridors while she's got afraid,
not realizing the monster in facts helps her
hiding in the elevator and find a secret room
where she can avoid being discovered and thrown out of the empire

9. No-Face
the spirit with white mask, looking so kind, shy and lonely,
but reveals the potential of an extremely flesh-hungry monster
who Chihiro lets in from the cold to the castle

10. Boh
Baby of Yubaba, burried under pillows,
especially when the three bouncing man-heads transforms into the baby who now has got Big and not longer so calm

11. Yubaba // Zeniba
old Twin-sisters:
angry Witch and/or Wise madame
on whose control the human girl's life directly depends

12. Chihiro herself, the not yet grown-up girl
forced to live by those mystic figures
not quite understanding how to behave
but do her best to be herself
behind her new name Sen

13. the GarbageCollector
who hasn't took a bath or showered for years
and now fills the whole castle with shit and scrap
until finally someone finds his most inner plug and he becomes clean again
(same process as for No-Face, but more appearant)
